growing up I believe it was superman. today i don’t really watch any. i became tired of the simpsons years ago and family guy can have it’s moments but not enough to keep me interested. i thought aeon flux was interesting but it was on late and i rarely caught it. robot chicken is one i see sometimes.

ok I am an idiot. that last post was me and i typed as if on autopilot and i was logging into hotmail and typed my password as my name. so of course i had to go in and create a new password. I hate when i have to create passwords.

  3. D’oh! Well, it’s probably good to change your password every so often.

Yeah, Futurama and the Simpsons are the only ones I typically watch today, and not regularly.

Dunno about the Jetsons, but I believe the Flinstones had a laugh track, no?

Wacky Races and Rocky and Bullwinkle were my two faves when I was young. Simpsons is still the best cartoon today, despite an ebb and flow of writing quality it is still better than Family Guy and much better than stuff like The Cleveland Show.

  5. Ah, yes, you’re right. It’s been too long, had forgotten. And about Wacky Races! I enjoyed that one.

Yeah, even at it’s worst, Simpsons is still better than most. Was sad this season of Futurama didn’t really pan out.

  6. I was a Saturday morning cartoon junky: Garfield and Friends, Mother Goose and Grimm, Muppet Babies, Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks, He-Man, and of course the very best, Looney Tunes. I even watched those lame old Hercules cartoons, which we all knew were horrible, but so horrible they were good. During the week I’d watch Jem and Bravestar. Of course all that changed with the Simpsons. Which I still watch, just not as religiously as I used to. Now I’m enjoying Star Wars the Clone Wars with my son. And Sponge Bob’s still good for a few laughs.

  7. I forgot about a lot of those! I just got cable, well, limited cable, but one of the channels is “Retro Cartoons” or something and since then I’ve been watching more. Didn’t realize how horribly misogynistic the Jetsons was!

  8. For misogyny the Flintstones was even worse.

  9. Oh I know, I just didn’t remember if from the Jetsons so much.
