purple crinolines

Nobody says it better than Betty White.

It’s bit late in the day, but I’ve spent the last 8 hours serving tea, scones and treats on the veranda at one our two museums. Such a gorgeous day for our Mother’s Day Event. We had double the attendance from last year, and not a baked good left (huzzah), although I was a bit sad that someone stole the homemade blueberry scone I had stashed away. They looked so good I was considering eating blueberries again…shocking considering the incident of ’06. Alas I did not get the chance to see if the curse had broken.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I forgot to break out the SPF 55 and got a bit of a sunburn this weekend, could this mean summer is actually here? At least in the lower mainland it appears to be. More bike rides and picnics, huzzah!

Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. Well done on the Mothers’ Day tea! Betty White herself could not have done a better job.

Perhaps it was for the best that you weren’t tempted to test the passing of the blueberry curse, but on the other hand, you really need to find a more secure hidey place for your baked goods.

  2. I thought putting it in the office, tucked behind my purse was a good spot. Apparently Giants can sniff out anything…
