he must be happy in his world

I have had this song in my head all day long. It just keeps repeating itself.

Quick, get another tune in my head!

  1. Hmmmmm… Verrrryyyy eeeeeenterestink.

This particular XTC song has such a way of burrowing itself into one’s musical grey matter doesn’t it? I really don’t know what it is, aside from the fact that its just so damn catchy. I recall hearing this record (Drums and Wires) for the first time and completely, COMPLETELY falling in love with XTC. I really haven’t looked back since. A quick look at my Last FM charts will show they are the most frequently played band on my iPod!

Anyway… Enough dreamy recollections. Thank you so much for posting the video. I had never seen that before and it is simply wonderful. You made my day!

As for transplanting another ear worm… Close to Me by the Cure has burrowed into mine and refuses to leave and now its become a mashup with Making Plans for Nigel! So thanks.

(Just glad it wasn’t the freaking Bird Dance song or something.) ;)

  2. For some reason, that song has now morphed into Franz Ferdinand’s Michael in my head and there is now mass confusion in there. Curse you!

Sean: I do enjoy XTC but after I few days of the song on repeat I’m starting to go a bit mad! ;) The chorus just gets stuck in there.

Ha! Well, a good mash is good for the soul. :) Yes, I am thankful for that, I’m trying to get The National stuck in there today…

Barb: Ha ha ha! Apologies, for creating all these mashups. ;)
