I think we got our first snow last night. Mixed in with a bit of freezing rain, and a delightful power outage.
Everything has dried up today, and its a nice cold fall/winter day. Grand for walking and cups of tea, which I shall do in a little while.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a new blog post up on here when everything came back on this morning. I intended to hit ’save’ but apparently I hit publish instead. Fancy that.
On the radio this morning I heard an acoustic version of “Landslide” by Smashing Pumpkins. Odd, yet kind of nice. Covers that you enjoy more than the original songs?
I’m off to make waffles. Or pancakes. Haven’t decided.
And I did watch the second Star Wars, or The Empire Strikes back and hopefully I will get to posting about it a bit later on today, or tomorrow. One thing is for certain…
I want a little Yoda.
Preferably one that says inspirational lines, when you squeeze his hand or something.
That would be brilliant.

I don’t know if they still make them, but I had a lil’ yoda™ when I was a boy and it said stuff like “do or do not, there is no try”. I tried to make him MC Yoda by repeatedly pushing the button when he was in the middle of his sayings, but alas I did not.

Ah, I figured something like that existed at some time, although I think I missed the boat. I was going to make a comment about the force, but I feel disingenuous still, as I have not finished watching all of the films.

We had our first real snow last night too, and it is delightfully Ontario-like here today, everything a uniform grey with wet sloppy snow. Perfect for a wee nip of sherry and trying to finally read Friday’s paper. Once I get all my running about done, that is.

Ha, uniorm grey is the best description of winter in Ontario, eh? It was depressing to see the leaves fall so soon, however there is something comforting about snuggling in with a good cuppa and a book on a Sunday, which is what I did today. Now I’m rested for tonights festivities!
I’m starting back at the gym tomorrow, seeing as I’m out of my sick phase. Yay, running. ;)

no snow here but a menagerie of rain.

My brother won a plush yoda (he’s over two feet tall) at some charity auction last year. He is sitting in the lotus position on a brown mat in my parents house and watches Jeopardy every night with my mother and father. Although I am not the biggest star wars fan, he is a comforting addition to my parents living room.

Gifted Typist: Its dropped in temperature here, and we have a light dusting with some nice ice. Winter is here.
Oh, yes. I quite like that song.
Eve: Haha! That’s great, I love it. Yoda does have a very calming presence, plush or otherwise. :)
