asleep on a train

I’m beginning to wonder how I managed two degrees and blogging on a daily basis.

Since being back I just haven’t the time, work is crazy busy and I’ve been filling my evenings and before I realize its time for bed. I behind in everything, job applications, emails, visiting all your blogs….I’m so glad its the weekend soon, I need to catch up with everyone.

I have a date tomorrow. That may have been the real reason I’ve been occupied…been distracted. :)

Oh, and my mosquito bites are healing, albeit slowly. Bastards.

A date? I’m pretty sure I once knew what that word meant. Have a great time.

  4. A date?! That’s pretty exciting, yes? no? maybe? Just remember my motto about dating… good times… good stories… you know. ;) Have fun. :)

  5. Toccata: I’ve never really known what it is, but thanks, I did. :)

Todd: I love your advice: “Its either going to be a good time, or a good story” …for once I had a good time, and not a horrible story to accompany it. :)

  6. We’re in the same busy boat. This is the firts time I’ve been fully employed in about 3 years and my inlaws are in town and we’re renovating. I miss the blogging…

  7. Weirdly, I seem to have even less time to blog now that I am a lazy unemployed bastard. I think it must have something to do with spending my days at work blogging.

  8. I saw you on TV the other day! Okay, not you, but your blog! Okay, not your blog but some lovely ‘flying buttresses’. Famous people always get dates. Have fun. Wait, it’s not a date with more mosquitoes is it?

  9. John: Things just keep getting busier, eh. I guess fall usually is a little hectic, start of the school year and all. Good luck renovating…and with the inlaws! :)

Barb: Same for me, I used blogging as a procrastination tool from school work and now that I’m done, and not working in an office setting its harder to blog.

Dale: Hahaha! Well, its been a grand weekend so I can’t complain, and no not a date with more mosquitoes…although I did get a few bites with this change in warm weather!

    I just read Barbara’s comment. That’s funny.

  11. Not sure if you were away long enough to suffer reverse culture shock … but it could be part of what you’re dealing with right now.

Trouble is that you think going home should be easy, but alas, you can never really go home, and it sometimes takes awhile to understand this.

  12. Toccata: The lazy unemployed bastard part? Funny, as its not true. ;)

Gifted Typist: I totally had culture shock for the first two weeks, I’m starting to settle into life back here, but I miss England terribly.

Home is just an imaginary place, really, eh?
