A cure for the blues:
4 glasses of red wine.
2 glasses of champange.
1 cran and vodka.
The silence seems less loud through all the haze.
I learned how to play poker tonight. Ali is passed out, again. Here are some random photos from tonight. I hope you all had a very merry merry.
Ali and the forest of potatoes. We will be eating them for days. But they were grand.
I steam a mean broccoli. You heard it here first.
Before alcohol dinner.
Ali, at dinner.
Our host, playing poker.
I can deal and make sarcastic remarks at the same time!
Apparently we are playing for real money on Thursday. This could be dangerous. Any tips?

Thanks, dude. It was a nice day, quiet but nice. I think I should go and check on Ali – I hear silence from the kitchen and she was supposed to bring back food. I hope you had a great day! :)

Poker Tips ? You could always use extra portions of potato as betting currency. After all they were “grand”. A grand don’t come for free you know.

That is a good idea as we haven’t even truly cracked a dent into them even with dinner, midnight snacking and breakfast. I fear they might too be returning to the UK with us.

Your card-dealing bracelet is quite cute. And you had someone at your dinner party with a laptop, I notice. Was someone live-blogging the dinner? That would be awesome, but I fear the potatoes would win.

Thanks! I am quite happy with it. Yes, the laptop was out because we were looking at photos from the xmas eve brunch. Oh yes, if we were to live blog those potatoes totally would have kicked our ass.
